New AZ38-700N sheet pile section - 14th January 2011

Since the introduction of the 700 mm wide AZ 38-700 in 2004 and the AZ 39-700 in 2008, the last chapter of this continuous enhancement will occur in 2011, introducing the AZ 38-700N.

A new calibration of the rolling process at the mill allows the manufacturing of this stiffer section, with much thicker ‘reinforced shoulders’, just like the AZ 48. The ultimate edition of this profile is the final stage of the development of this section and will undoubtedly denote a landmark for the future...

New AZ 13-700R sheet pile section - 22nd October 2010

ArcelorMittal is continuously expanding its large offer of steel foundation products. The mill in Rodange, Luxembourg, started rolling successfully the new PU-R sheet pile sections beginning of 2008. Now that the industrial production of these U-sections has achieved its targeted production capacity, their next objective is a light Z-shape which will complement the AZ-700 range from the mill in Belval. New GU sheet piles - 15th June 2009

The development of an improved GU hot rolled sheet pile produced in Dabrowa, Poland, was triggered by the amazing success of the existing GU 600 range in new markets. Major development was to modify the interlock shape such to become fully compliant with the ArcelorMittal LARSSEN interlock already produced in the sheet pile rolling mills in Belval and Rodange, Luxembourg.

The 2009 English edition of our 'General catalogue' is available for downloading and for dispatching. This new version includes the new HZM/AZ combined wall system, as well as the updated values of the steel grades and rolling tolerances of tubular steel piles following the standard ISO 3183 (2007).

You will notice that the new HZM/AZ system replaces the existing HZ/AZ. The steady success of the HZM/AZ combi-wall strengthens our decision to shorten the transition period from the old HZ to the new HZM sections...

New PU 14R in production - 10th February 2009

After the successful launching of the PU 8R in March 2008 and the PU 10R in June, the PU 14R is now available as well.

The PU 14R section has a thickness of 11.0 mm in the flange, and as the other U-sections, it can be rolled up and down by 1.0 mm to result in the PU 15R and the PU 13R. The PU 14R range is available in all steel grades of EN 10248, from S 240 GP to S 430 GP, in lengths up to 24,0 m. The sheet piles can be paired and crimped on request...
